
Accenting areas or colors for emphasis is the way to rivet the viewer's eyes to a certain area or subject in the photo. This is done by altering the color intensity or tonal contrast of the main subject.
This chapter will teach you a varitey of ways to bring out the detail of selected areas (both subtle and serious) of your photographs.
Drag your mouse over the two flowers to see the before-and-after images. While these two flowers look quite similar, they are quite unique. The flower on the left is a Hibiscus while the one on the right is sometimes called a Cuban Sunflower.

The Hibiscus was prepared using traditional photo-editing tools like quick-selection, blurring and sharpening, while the Cuban Yellow was rendered by PhotoPlus' Paint and Ink filter from the Instant Artist section of the software. |

By the way-- the accented red center was the product of the Paint and Ink filter alone- not something that I added. Pretty cool!
